Fear of sex is overrated

Working on sex at The Kinsey Institute in Indiana comes with its challenges.
Though Alfred Kinsey's books were published a half century ago and the Institute itself has survived and grown at Indiana University since 1947, stepping outside of the protected walls can make us vulnerable.
Though I shouldn't have been surprised, Ann Fritz, Director of […]

Spring Break is Upon Us!

As Spring Break approaches, we'd like to take a little bit of time to send out some friendly reminders.

The next few weeks will be a well-deserved break for students at universities who have been working hard this semester. I know college kids hear the same stuff all the time about Spring Break from parents and professors - "Don't drink!" "Stay with your friends at all times!" Food and Sex

If you're looking to get intimate with your partner this Valentine's Day (or any other random Thursday, for that matter), you may be disappointed to find that taking them out to a fancy dinner and presenting them with hoards of chocolate probably won't, by itself, have a stunning effect on their sexual desire.

Friends-with-benefits?

I was surprised to find out that 'friends-with-benefits' (being consistently sexually active but not in a committed relationship with someone) is a phenomenon unique to our generation. Most think of this relationship as a "have your cake and eat it too" kind of thing; but are we really getting all the benefits? Read more in […]
